You’ll need a space to have a lie down post-party and we’re open 365 days a year for Glasgow visitors. Plus, we’re offering an exclusive discount for guests staying between 22nd and 29th August, giving you 10% off when you book direct through the Embassy Apartments website. It’s the site for the best deals, guaranteed lowest rates and most up-to-date availability, so is very handy to save in your favourites.
Since our apartments are in the West End of the city, we are just a half hour commute by public transport (even quicker by taxi) to Bellahouston Park, this year’s venue for the Summer Sessions. While you’re on the Southside, why not check out some of Glasgow’s lesser known attractions? Queens Park is stretched across 150 acres of the area and boasts tennis courts, a woodland walk and plenty of green spaces in which to relax and enjoy a frappe in the sun before the festival kicks off. If you’re feeling energetic, why not try a game of lawn bowls with friends – it’s totally free and walk-in bookings are available with no special equipment needed! Take a stroll towards Pollockshields and indulge in a spot of lunch at The Bungo Bar and Kitchen. This relaxed eatery serves up fresh culinary delights all day long and includes bar favourites like juicy steaks and burgers. Once you’re well fed and watered just head to the park early to bag the best spots (at the front, of course)
After the show, head on down to the Glad Café to keep up the Indie/Alt vibe and treat yourself to a pint of craft beer or ale. Alternatively, if you are in the dancing mode, get yourself to the Rum Shack for, well, rum! They have reggae music 7-nights a week too, as well as guest DJs to keep you entertained.
Once you can party no more, hail a cab back to our place and rest your head in one of our super-comfy, home-from-home apartments. Sounds like bliss, eh? See you soon!
