We’ve noticed an increase in the number of guests who stay with us attending a gig, or concert at the Ovo Hydro. With so many incredible acts playing here, be sure to book your tickets and overnight stay with us well in advance. We are only 3 miles away or 12 minutes by taxi.

This picture-perfect venue is used for outdoor entertainment mostly in Summer, although tends to be in demand increasingly in the last 12 months. It seats 2000 people and is situated between Glasgow University and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum.

Formerly a galvanisers yard SWG3 really is a venue like no other. The eclectic space has come alive with collections of gigs, fashion shows, nightlife and even shopping all under the one roof. Although the space is set out for work and rest, play is what they do best!

Room 2

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
What a place, what a name, what a venue. King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut opened over 30 years and still defines and influences the music scene in Glasgow today. Famed for showcasing and emerging acts including Snow Patrol, Pulp, Florence and the Machine they are situated on Vincent Street easily accessible by public transport.

Stereo
Vintage and style are a combination that defines Stereo Café Bar. You’ll find it in a Charles Rennie Mackintosh building, on Glasgow’s Renfield Lane. By day delicious vegan food is served, at night the basement comes alive hosting gigs and live performances.

The 13th Note
An independent café/bar and restaurant, the 13th Note is also a nighttime venue, which operates a strictly over 18 policy for all gigs that start after 8pm. The merchant city venue also features amongst the top 100 places to eat vegan food in Glasgow.

Broadcast
Sauchiehall Street is a mecca for late night pubs, clubs and venues and Broadcast is one of the most popular. Open daily until 3am, most gigs and sessions start at 7pm or so, followed by the clubs that run from 23.00 to 03.00hrs.

Platform

For quality vegan food head to Mono’s where the food is served fresh and made by an incredibly talented team. At any given time, the venue also plays host to poetry readings, music performances and other eclectic events.

The Old Hairdresser’s
Supporting up and coming talent from all genres of the arts and entertainment world, this venue on Renfield Lane is an ideal place to go to experience the best of raw talent and admission to events is generally free.

Nice N Sleazy
Head to Sauchiehall Street and pay Nice N Sleazy a visit if you want to enjoy great gigs, delicious food, including spectacular vegan options and fantastic cocktails. Resident nights include OPEN MIC and KAROKE sessions weekly.

Jinty McGuinty’s was established in 1991 in Glasgow and continues to be one of the most popular bars in the city.

COMEDY CLUBS

Open 7 nights a week for comedy and is the only full-time comedy club in Glasgow. Located in the west end of the city, weekend nights are premium and tend to book up quickly due to limited space.

This comedy club is located inside the north rotunda at entertainment quay, adjacent to the SEC Hydro, Glasgow. They operate a great comedy dinner show and alumni from their early days include Alan Carr and John Bishop, not bad! Disabled access at the venue.

Another comedy club relieved to be back open as we emerge from the restrictions of Covid 19, it’s located in Renfrew Street, Glasgow. Hilarious stand-up comedians perform every weekend a wide range of beverages are available to pre-book at the Glee bar.
